HALLOWEEN 2011

First of all here is my cute little watermelon...

On Halloween we spent the day down at my mom's house because it was not only Halloween, but also Braxten's (khloe's cousin) birthday!

After presents we headed over to the church for trunk or treat. Khloe likes candy, but we never really have any at home so she LOVED the fact that everybody just kept giving her candy if she said trick or treat! It was really cute.

Uncle Jonathan helped her collect her candy

After the trunk or treat we headed back to my moms house for our Halloween dinner. (sorry no pics) Every year ever since I can remember my mom has done a halloween dinner for us consisting of mostly orange food. It is definitely something that I have missed. We had cheese soup and rolls, a ghost shaped rice crispy treat orange pumpkin shaped jello and apple cider (from the pumpkin patch a couple of days before). After dinner we went to the old neighborhood where I grew up to trick or treat and say hi to some old friends and neighbors. Then we visited a couple more friends to finish off our night.

Khloe's costume came with a hat, but I thought she looked much cuter with just a hair pretty in. What do you think, hat or no hat?

That wraps up our Halloween festivities. Thanks for looking :)

PUMPKINS PART 2

In my family it is tradition to go to the Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch. This year was no exception. We took a hay ride to and from the patch. It was fun but it was super muddy. In case you ever go, you have to try the apple cider. It is to die for. You can buy it warm by the cup, or you can buy it cold by the half gallon or gallon. I recommend both. Enjoy a warm cup while you are there, and buy a gallon to enjoy at home later :)

It was still foggy while we were there, I just thought it looked cool

PUMPKINS PART 1

To start out the Halloween festivities, we went to the pumpkin patch with Melinda (Jeff's sister) and her family. It was a lot of fun, and we could not have asked for better weather. I had never been to this particular pumpkin patch before. (That is one of the many cool things about the pacific northwest, there are a lot of great pumpkin patches to choose from) It was great. You bought a ticket, and that ticket got you on a boat ride to the patch, and a train ride back (or visa versa) And also a dollar off of your pumpkin. Khloe loved seeing all of the pumpkins, and Aunt Melinda helped her pick out a perfect Khloe sized pumpkin.

I stripped Khloe down to her diaper so she could get messy, but she was not as interested in pumpkins as she was in the window
